No it isn't. With f1.4 your real sharp DOF is just a few inches.

First beachvolleybal game yesterday. Played around a little with my FA*85mm and this image came out off it.

Some more to come off the game.
Best sports pic ever.

I consider acrobatic dances, especially those that require hand stands as sporting events.

I shot a bunch of whitewater kayaking yesterday. I still need to go through some of the images.

I'm actually looking to upgrade my K200D for a K5II or K30. As per usual, I agonize forever until I make a decision 6 or 7 months later. Here are some that I took with my K200D on Sunday.

Update: DA* 50-135mm F2.8
ISO 800, F13, 1/500th for still shots
ISO 200, F13, 1/125th panning shots

That last one looks like out of an old racing magazine, nice.

Hey folks, please mention the gear used, like the Lens here as well. And a little write up on the foto taking situation helps a lot.

Oh wait - all cameras here should be K-5 variants, right?

I only know K-5 and it is a fine unit as shown in the images here.
K-30 has lower FPS and smaller buffer if that is important to you for sports.

My wife and I went on a cruise from Boston last week. Not the action I typically shoot but thought this was pretty cool.

A couple of horse-related sports from this past week. Our town hosts the oldest running rodeo in the country. This year was the 113th Cattlemen's Days Rodeo which is a week long celebration that happens right in my neighborhood. Might as well shoot it! Both shots were taken with a K-5 & DA* 60-250
