Here are some shots from me at a Dodgers game this weekend All were taken with my M*300mm. Luckily baseball is such a slow sport, manual focusing is a snap.

The photos are very good though
Thanks Sandy.
Based on what I saw at the sidelines these guys for sure were no pro teams so there is room to improve their technique

@cali92rs : baseball is quite an easy sport to shoot. There are some very fast actions, but 90% off all actions will be around home plate, 1st and 3rd base. So if you know the sport you have all the time to pre focus on one of those spots and just wait for the action to happen. Shooting pitchers is also no problem, you know they can be found on the mound
I could not find any exif, so don't know what shutter speed you used, but a faster shutterspeed would freeze the ball a liitle bit more.

The shutter speed was at 1/640. I would've liked to have gone with a faster shutter speed, but I was already at ISO 3200. With the K-5, I could've probably pushed it to 6400, but I was being conservative i guess.

Wow lots of new pictures. I like them a lot. I already seen the cricket images and I love the baseball serie. I've done some sports lately, but less with K-5. I'm going to the EC Lacrosse coming weekend so I'm looking forward to that.

EC Lacrosse 2012

Today I went to the European Championship Lacrosse 2012 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Big event, with lots of teams playing in the mens or the womens tournament. I only visited the the womens site (at the Amsterdam Hockey place) and not the mens (at Pinoké, hockey Amstelveen). Not that it was to far away, just a five minute walk, but the game didn't get a grip on to me. There are differences in rules for men/women, so are women not alowd for fysical contact, where the men should play a lot rougher.

From the game between The Netherlands and Switserland (nice that they came, but they didn't know how to play).

I also looked at the game between Wales and Scotland and these girls where a very big lot better. It is also a matter of having a good competition, even when the sport is still small in these countries.

There are clearly not enough countries with a descent competition and if you are from one of the countries not present this year, then just give a call tou your girlfriends and join in next time.

I'm glad to see them giving it a go on the continent. I think it got more traction among the Brits via the Canadian connection.

Stasis might be the worst thing for an ongoing thread. My contribution from a recent race to keep it going....
If you look closely you can see the flash on building behind the cyclist. I think this was @ 1/30th or maybe 1/50.

A bit of panning experiment, at 1/15th, I think I should go a bit faster on the shutter
