A nice showing from the kit lens. I like the panning shot.

This young rugby/soccer player making her first extra point. She won the game with 11 seconds left by kicking a 31 yd. field goal beating an arch enemy for the first time in decades.

Awesome (but there seems to be a WB problem.)

Yes, so true. The pink/purple sunset reflecting on the clay in the background, neon pink cleats, jersey color and no stadium lighting on yet just didn't mix and 2005 iphoto only made it worse. I left it based on true shoe and jersey colors. Maybe B&W would save it? Thanks. I'll try again this weekend.

I don't want to be a nitpicker, but that seems to be what we call American football. The one that's mostly played by carrying the shuttle-shaped object by hands Please do not get offended. Our national game is based on your baseball and we're the best in the world in it. That's maybe because nobody else plays our version.

Joking aside, a nice shot!

Try shooting RAW. It gives you the whole range also for WB adjustments.

It is indeed American football. I really didn't make it clear but she is primarily a rugby and soccer player. The football team recruited her because her kicking skills from both sports surpassed the guys. Thanks for the tip on RAW.

Ah, that means you've probably got some good material for the "If Only" thread:

Must be some kick for the team to pick her for her skills.

Field Hockey: Maartje Goderie

This afternoon I went to the first match in the new fieldhockey competition. It was between last years champion HC Den Bosch en one of the lower teams MOP. Half way true I thought that I could make a small serie of one of the important players forr both the club and our national team that just won Olympic Gold in Londen.

I agree, and that reminds me that I wanted to express admiration for the first shot (also BW) in the sequence you posted on 8 Sept.
