Thanks! It was hard to follow the action since unlike regular team sports or circuit racing, every driver here acted alone and was free to go in any direction.

Are motor sports OK? A demolition derby I saw on Saturday as part of the entertainment program at a local agricultural show. Many of the drivers were women.

Ambient light was very poor - about 1 LV out on the track if I was lucky. Sigma 70-200 HSM II. Most shots ISO 8000 and above, f2.8, 1/80-1/200 sec.
Great shots! Fun stuff.

Thanks. It was fun. I didn't dump too many shots up here but there are more on my flickr. It impressed me how durable normal cars are. Some of those vehicles were totally smashed up, yet kept on going for a very long time.

Ya know, processing Field Hockey photos, game after game, can get boring after a while and make you play with new approaches.

Hey everybody, I am wondering what equipment you guys use when making video recordings with the K5 to achieve the best result. I am thinknig about stuff like the glidecam, slider and so forth.

More Field Hockey

We just had two games on artificial turf: it's a very different game than on grass--much faster. The first game ended in a 2/2 tie (which I count as a win since it was away and the first outing on turf) we lost the second game 0/3 (had plenty of chances but couldn't get the ball in the goal)

This is her first year in the goal but she's doing well.

Moving the ball.

Before the score.

Sending it.

Protecting the goal.
.

Another attempt.
