No, the blurring in the background gives a definite 3D feel--well done!

I would like to express my appreciation to all who have previously contributed... this has been an enjoyable thread to follow (and I'm not a sports photographer).

Just for the fun of diversity- the following were taken using the DA* 50-135mm. Because they were taken from the shadow side of the subject, I bumped the exposures up a bit higher than I generally prefer in order to reveal facial expressions.

K-5 for sports-photography

I attended a British Eventing event last year and took this image with a K5 and DA* 200mm, I think if you use good technique the K5 is fine for sports photography. I now have a K5lls which I will be using in May for another British Eventing event as I will have a press pass, so I will come back to this post and keep folks updated.

Nice shot, looking forward to more! I used to do a little Eventing as a kid. Fun!

I watched a fun end of season event yesterday called Kayaks on Snow at Monarch Mountain. It's like a sledding race in kayaks with a water finish. They did an elimination tournament all afternoon yesterday. Pretty entertaining and made me glad for sealed gear!

The girl getting splashed was shooting with a Rebel

I got soaked here!

A few more in a Flickr gallery here.

It's understood that you people are quite mad, isn't it? The ones with cameras are comparatively sane, though.

Here are a couple from a college men's lacrosse game we attended yesterday on a college visit.

I was going to whine about shooting in such high contrast light but after Matt's set, I guess I'll just keep quiet about that. ;~)
