Those upgrading from a K10D will surely have a good time with the K5! Isn't that like upgrading from a Ford Pinto C. 1975 to a 2010 BMW?

I thought I said I would join in when I DO have the K5 ... can the OP accept a new K5 (non-owner) member?

I'm in.

Well I will be when I order the K5. As soon as I see the real street price I will order.
Looking forward to seeing some reviews with the final firmware and some samples as well.

I'm in too. Great idea Melander and thanks for taking the initiative.

Preordered from Amazon last week. Already got the Pentax grip off the bay and 3 extra batteries. Wondering if I really will dedicate the k20d to something (manual focus with its jinfinance dual-diagonal split prism? leave it on the a*400/2.8 pointed out the back window?) or will I stil be swapping lenses 10 times a day because the NEW kid is the only one I want to use.
I SO look forward to getting decently clean iso 3200 shots so I can maintain 1/1000 sec at f11 for close but fast moving wildlife.

The calendar is moving so s-l-o-w-l-y waiting for it to get stocked and shipped. Isn't anticipation supposed to be the best part? (still talking about the camera here)

I'll be joining as well - assuming the high ISO is as good or better than the K-x and the AF is miles ahead of my K20d!

I'm psyched - I even started a "Fan Club" on Flickr. Check my sig and join!

Count me in....nearly 4 years with the K10D, which I love, but I'm ready to move on up and the K5 will do just fine

(Wonder how much my K10D with Kit Lens will be worth when all those other K10D owners start to sell theirs as well!!!)

I get one as soon as I see a proper review, and a real price listed in the USA Stores.

I just bought mine a new home, Lowepro ProTrekker 300 and I put my local camera shop on notice, so I'm ready. Wish it would have been here for foliage season, but hopefully, it will arrive for the first snow fall of the year.

I'm in. I'll be keeping my K20D and giving my daughter the K-x and a few lenses that I don't use anymore. K-5 with the Sig 150-500 and the K20D with the DA 16-45 (or vice versa...). Can't wait!

I have thought about upgrading my k-7 to the K-5 for the high ISO performance, but im not sure if I can get enough from the k-7 to be able to afford the k-5. I will probably have to wait for the price to come down just a bit. from what it looks like, the k-5 is just about perfect for my needs. same phenomenal body but with the type of sensor all k-7 owners wish their k-7s had.
