K5 in Stores yet?

So I saw in another thread that today or tomorrow they are supposed to start shipping the K5. I am wondering if B&H or Adorama has it will anyone be going by their storefront and picking one up today or tomorrow? I would have loved to have one in my hands this weekend. (Last race of the season) But I will wait till later on.

Jim

Today I called Pentax Web Store and they confirmed the K-5 will be available online tomorrow at their website, I don't know about other online retailers like B&H, Adorama, J&R or Amazon, probably they will get it as well, I will assume has to be the same distributor for all of them.

According to the latest news from RiceHigh's Pentax Blog, the new K-5 will be released on October 15, which is two weeks earlier than first told. The 18-135 mm lens will be available in mid-November.

I know, I think it's better to wait. Also I asked the rep at Adorama about the Nikon D7000 and he mentioned that there was a long waiting list of pre-orders for the D7000, NONE for the K-5, so I will assume price should go down soon.

If the rep is right, that's one very sad story for Pentax.

It also makes a bit of a mockery out of the "I'm buying it and can hardly stand the wait" posts.

Did Adorama just put it up for order within the few days?

I have one going through the checkout process right now. Just practicing though. Pentax K-5 Digital SLR Body | Canada, Edmonton, McBain Camera

So far nothing to indicate that it is not currently in stock and available for immediate shipping.

They also have the K20D body for exactly half the price of the K5 ($799 vs $1599).

http://www.thecamerastore.com/products/cameras/digital-cameras/digital-slr-c...entax-k-5-body $100 less, but "Out of stock".
Vistek, $1599, available Oct 29.

I heard k5's price is lower than nikon d7000 in Japan,Singapore and Europe . Not sure why it is about 400 dollars more expensive than nikon d7000 in U.S. I have been told by Adam that the street price should be lower than 1599 when it comes out. Anybody heard anything? Please share. thanks.
