I'm not video quality expert, but it looks pretty good to me.

But clearly Pentax need to look and listen carefully.

Manual video controls are essential nowadays!

Hopefully they incorporate manual controls similar to the 7d and K5 will be a winner. I am selling my K7 body and currently using a 7D for the AF and movie mode (ISO is great to) and am watching closely to see if I'll pick up a K5 body or sell the DA*'s for L glass.

I should note that the K7 video looked great but mine overheated even in moderate temperatures within minutes making it very unpleasant. Hopefully the Sony sensor generates less heat. No heat issues with 7d whatsoever so far.

Has anyone else noticed the absence of rolling shutter jelly effect even though its pretty rough hand held footage.... ?

As a sailor I'm looking at this guy single handing, setting up the camera, and pushing 8 knots!

The K-5's Exmor sensor from Sony still uses a rolling shutter, but apparently has reduced the "jellO" effect markedly because of the way the signal output is read.
