Can you give some more additional information such as exif-Data, lens, firmware?
Thanks

This is *$#^(%$ jaw-dropping good.

If I didn't know these were taken by a Pentax K-5, I would have thought probably a Canon Full-Frame with "L" glass.

Looks very good, but... The first photo says that it's from the K-r

4928x3264 pixels definitely makes it a K-5.
No other Pentax camera has that.
The Exif wording probably a Copy&Paste error

Ah yea strange...
Image EXIF is okay though.
Look like the person who translated the original made a slight error on that one.

That's a typo . The Panda Iexif shows it's from K-5.

Played a bit with the files to see if I could find any noise in them, these are from jpgs, but still impressive results

Pushed 2 EV and added 100% fill light in LR3, no NR
You can see a bit of noise in the fabric and earring

Pushed 100% fill light in LR3
Nothing

Pushed 100% fill light in LR3
Tiny bit of noise in the blacks

Looks more like grain artifacts than noise as far as I can see(note white peak patterns).
If I had to guess, I'd put my money on the effects of compression and sharpening.

The Exif for the 2nd photo says "Keys -4". That's deliberately darkening the JPEG output, similar effect to underexposing. Its equivalent to about 2 stops underexposed.

If you used 100% fill light on it, and that's all the noise we can see...its VERY, VERY good...
Can't wait to see some RAW output....

This K-5 is an IQ monster....

really sharp - but isn't that more to the lens than the sensor?

I have seen shots just as sharp from a K20D - and all studio shots

What I'm wanting to see is extreme action shots in low light - lets say at 6400 iso - then we can start celebrating;-)
