Are these downsized or cropped? If they are cropped, I am impressed. But if it's just downsized, I'm not. That 51,200 in the night scene looks just awful. Should be no reason to even have that selectable. But I am impressed by 6400, looks really good. Also the landscape shots look good, but I just wish you could view some 100% crops of those landscape shots.

I agree the 51200 in the night scene looks terrible..... like 3200 on my K20D.

キタ━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━ !!!

Check out this shot at ISO1600, 600 second exposure, in camera NR off:

K-5 ??????????????? - ???????:photohito

The poster mentions that he isn't sure if there is a demand, but hopes that the test will be useful to someone. All I can say is very yes; that dark noise is pretty impressive!

I'm hoping the current MSRP is in place to help curtail demand/fight backorders while they get their distribution channels spun up. But, if not, I'll just have to patiently save up..

My electronics industry source tells me the Sony is still in ramp mode on the Exmoor sensor, meaning, the output of the K-5 is going to take time come up to speed.

Have a look here:

?????????? : K-5 ????????????

There are two versions for each exposure time. Google translate isn't being very helpful in telling me what the difference is.

Can't those Japanese to take pictures or what? I mean pictures, which are nice and interesting, not just boring snapshots of all the stuff lying around?
