These look to good to be true, but have they applied NR on them?

Got a few comments about these here too: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-dslr-discussion/118317-feel-k-5-power.html

All I can say is that I'm totally impressed!

This can't be they look better than my 5D II if they are really out of camera,, why do these people that have the k5 have to go to work first? call in sick

Don't worry, Singapore is GMT+8, it's already 17:37 there. Frank and Creampuff probably are already torturing their K-5s already

Looks pretty good to 6400. The expanded options beyond 12800 look pretty noisy but I'm sure the K-7 noise training will have prepared everyone to make them look like ISO 100.

Yeah, my first impression was...if I didn't know these were from the K-5, I'd say "Full Frame"...

Looking good;

now it's just up to its auto-focus ability and the obvious comparisons to the Nikon D7000 which has the same sensor.

Have you invested heavily in Canon gear?

Well I had the K-7 but sold it due to the noise and bought the 7D and 5D II for wedding and baptism work, the thing is I really like Pentax and if the K-5 is better than 7D then I will sell 7D and buy K-5 but also keep my 5D II, as far as lenses I have EF 16-35 2.8 L II, EF 100 2.8 IS L, EF 24-105 f4 L, EF 50 1.4, and EF 70-300 IS DO, but I was also thinking of buying the EF 70-200 IS L II, but am waiting to see if the K-5 is what everyone is saying, if I do get the K-5 lenses I will buy are DA* 16-50 2.8, DA* 50-135 2.8, DA* 60-250 f4 and maybe a prime.

By coincidence I was just browsing the thread that goes with those images. Scroll through it and you can find the NR information. You don't need to be able to read Japanese as the posts include "NR" "ON" "OFF" "AUTO" in them and are quite clear. Click on the thumbnails to see the larger sizes.

Don't forget to check out the night scene further down in the thread....and look carefully at the shutter speed on the high ISO shots.
