Hee! Cheers to Clicker!

I'm pretty impressed with this lens from this, (And your group of shooters. ) I had some hopes from the promised edge-sharpness in the announcements. I think *this* is how Pentax ought to be selling stuff.

Do you realise it is Monday morning in Asia and people have to work to get $$ for the nice K-5 to do the comparison for your benefit FOR FREE?

I understand that yesterday was Sunday yesterday. and to download 2-3 RAW files takes just several minutes

Nice photo of lens I am going to buy for sure!!!

Which fast zoom is best match with this prime?
- 50-150 mm F2.8 or 70-200 mm F2.8

PS: I already own the following lenses:
- Tamron 10-24 mm
- Pentax DA 18-55 mm + 50-200 mm (but non-L)
- Pentax M/A 28 mm F2.8, 50 mm F1.4, 135 mm F2.8, 200 mm F4
- Auto macro converter

In the mid/long run maybe also wanting to add
- Fast AF prime: 70-90 mm
- Long AF tele lens: 300 mm
- Macro AF lens, focal length TBC
- Fish Eye: <= 10 mm

I find that claim hard to believe. the FA35 is one of the lenses that I use on a regular basis, and I haven't had any problems with ghosting as compared with other lenses. if such coating does not exist in the FA35, it would had been so obvious with the images. on some threads regarding the DA35/2.4, it was mentioned by some that both lenses share the same coating on the rear elements. besides, it doesn't mean because it wasn't advertised or failed to mention that some lenses have ghostless coating, doesn't mean they don't have it.

ghostless coating is almost 2 decades old. so anything with such mention of it nowadays is more likely about marketing the item rather than new technology.
It's more than just ghosting. Anyway Pentax has been coating their FA lenses with their digital optimized coatings since they started taking the digital world serious. Probably '04 or '05.

Just wait, and quit acting like you're entitled to something. Or, better yet, create a thread with a title that specifically says, K-5 DNGs wanted, or whatever. Being annoying in someone else's thread is no use to anyone.

EDIT: Actually, there are RAW files here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-dslr-discussion/118658-couple-k5-s...s-51200-a.html

Problem solved.

which is? well, I have nothing against the DA35/2.4. I just dont like the fact that it's being overhyped as something significantly better than the previous generation, which from the results that I'm seeing so far is no different from it's predecessor. it's an impressive lens and does solve the demand for a fast yet cheap 35mm lens which Pentax lacks since the FA35 is discontinued.

my point is, unless I see a real significant difference in capability in the DA35/2.4, it's nothing more than a K55/2 to the K55/1.8.
