Thanks JohnBee for these filles.
The quality of the pics are superb, very sharp, and the detail preserved even in the high iso shots is amazing, you can cleary see the text on the bottle or the car.

Good news - no any NR in RAW from ISO 80 till 1600 AT ALL.
YAY!
This is wonderful news...
Because we can shoot up to 1600 and adjust for higher ISO in ACR!

Do you click on the link at the bottom of the image or something else?
Have you tried right click & save as?
What OS are you using?

Ok, i'm impressed. Not enough to take the hit on my credit-card, but maybe to starve myself to be able to get a K5 a little earlier than I planned...........

I clicked on the link at the bottom of the image, yes.
OS is Windows XP Pro.

No I haven't tried right click and save ... Of! Sorry! Yes I did and it says that I am trying to save a Quick Time clip!!??
I'll go and try again.

Edit: So, I tried this from the first post:
EDIT: here are links to the RAW files (via Multiupload)
100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400, 12800, 25600, 51200

and I get to a page full of download sites and each I click one or another to download I am getting bombarded with all kinds of "Poker", "You're a Winner of ...", etc ...

Hmmm, that's strange. I tried downloading them from there (to make sure it worked) and didn't have anything like that. Each file has been downloaded about 100 times now... I wonder if anyone else is having any issues?

Success! It took 3 trials before it actually proceeded to do the Save routine, but I got them all!

Thanks a bunch!

So, here it goes:
[I will post some results - used NoisewarePro]

The results were just amazing (to me), although not as good as the ones done with Denoise NR by John but, I can say that until ISO3200, there's hardly any noise at all from a RAW file converted to JPEG.
As a matter of fact, I cold easily use those images straight from the camera.
At ISO 6400, the setting were set at "Low", so very little NR done.
At ISO 12800, still at "Low" with more than acceptable results.
At ISO 25600, settings at "Mid", with very good results and very useable.
At ISO 51200, setting first at "Mid", then "High" with almost similar results and, frankly, amazing for this very high ISO image!

For me, this is a miracle!
It means being able to go out and shoot wildlife during very early mornings and late evening, even after sunset, and still be able to produce some decent shots ans without having to worry too much about noisy images.
Th exposure for the sample shots was right on though, and that is something to be careful with I suppose because no matter how good the camera can handle high ISO, if the shot is underexposed, I am under the impression that noise will be there no matter what.

Of course, I don't know how the K5 will behave at high ISO AND using Focus Priority AF during less than ideal lighting conditions. Will the AF be capable of locking on the subject under those circumstances?

To summarize: Very Happy!
And the K5 will be ordered next week.

Cheers and thank you very much for the files and samples.

John, maybe we should ask Pentax for a kickback for any sales generated from your posts
