As pixel-peeper, I can say that 100% full-sized photos from K-5 is better than 14.6 MP.

MP doesn't spoil IQ. The crops are close to 10-12 MP pictures from Pentax in terms of sharpness. AA filter seems weaker than K-7. I'm really impressed. Better sensor?
PRIME II is the same as in K-7.

For me, IQ of K-5 kills Canon 7D.

What I am saying here now is not an insult, but are you saying that because your a canon hater? I mean I am going to buy the K-5 myself and do have the 7D and 5D II, but how much better can it be to the 7D?

OGL is known here as a person that is never happy with pentax products, so when he finaly is happy with a pentax crop camera, then trust him

'COZ I've worked with 7D RAW files and my opinion is the worst APS-C camera in terms of IQ, noise and DR.
Somebody say in this forum that 7D has one of the best IQ. It's not truth.

I say about real photos, not about 3D Mark - DXO.

Considering Pentax wouldn't sponsor a publisher, I doubt they would ever consider my case studies for anything other than free publicity.

Which is perfectly fine with me tbh. as it could have gone in any direction as far as I'm concerned(D7000, A55 etc). But as it turns out, Pentax designed the better system and so here we are

I just wish I had a K-5 here so I could get down to business!
An in depth, K-5, vs, D700, vs D7000 showdown!

You did awesome service for forum members. Since from the launch of K-r and K-5 you were keen to compile every useful details and invested lots of your valuable time to evaluate noise performance and NR studies. Your enthusiasm and excellent work has helped Pentax tremendously.

I would like to say thank you for your efforts (I should have started a new thanks thread though)
I would also like to thank all the early adopters for K-5 and K-r who took brave plunge before many of us could decide and their samples are helping us.

I don't think so....not there yet...but it looks to me the K-5 is encroaching on existing FF territory.

The next generation Full Frames will be a different story, of course...
