The problem remains ofcourse, most European shops have none yet. Even some countries have yet to see theri first K-5. Situation looks rather desparee for those who have pre ordered K-5 + 18-135. Release in Japan on nov 26th,, add one week for US, another one for first in Europe (and only a few stores/countries) then add slow deliveries because of Christmas and I have doubts about actial release of K-5/18-135 before mid january....

Pentax k-5

Hi,

I got the first K-5 which was avaible in Ghent, Belgium!
It's a very nice machine. Already took it for a project. It has got great handling, as good as my k10d which i was used too.
The pictures look fine. Though i got to watch them at 100%. Noise rate is acceptable at 800 to 3200 especially compared to my K10d if I zoom in on the camera itself.

Up until now, glad with the purchase. Need some further testing though.

In Finland, body only is listed for 1190 €, 2-4 weeks backorder estimate, (Verkkokauppa.com - Todennäköisesti aina halvempi, prices usually among the best).

The K-5 apparently brought Pentax back to Fotokoch, where it's been missing for a while, unless it was a glitch in their internet store. Now there's a funny offering: The K-5 plus the Tammy 18-200 costs clearly LESS than the K-5 alone. What a recommendation for the lens.

I don't know. It brought Foto Koch a record number of posts pointing to them, all over the internet, incl. PF. Your post must be #64875 or so

Not bad a sales strategy, not bad at all
