I don't know should I laugh or cry. I think I'll laugh because this is quite a bit agains the odds.

I called a local shop and they had 1 K-5 18-55 kit left, decided to go and test it and maybe buy it, not that much higher price than the cheapest I found.

So, I put some clothes on and went out, bike had a flat tire (5th tire this year, f'n vandals), hopped in the car and drove to the city. Tested the camera for a while and it sure was snappier than my K200D. Ok, it's a deal. Went to the atm and my bank card had expired from the beginning of this month and couldn't get the money.

So I'm going to the bank tomorrow morning and going to get that damn camera even if my arms fall off. The shop lady left the battery in the charger for the night. Let's hope the shop doesn't burn down during the night.

You feelin' lucky, punk?

Czech republic saw first 15 pieces of K-5 on 27th October. One of them came to me. First time I got present on the indepencence day (our independence day is on 28th Oct) instead of Christmas.
It came with nice 400 page manual in Czech. The thing had to be in preparation for some time already...

Well guess what?
I went to the bank this morning and... *drumroll*
They couldn't connect to their network, had to wait 20min before getting my money out. I'm not fooling you people. Told this story in the shop and got free roll of 1600 B&W film, yay.

I'll post something quick on some other threads.

Got my K-5 yesterday. I had order it last week though, seems like the local shops don't have any unless you order one. I guess it will change in a couple of weeks, but at least we can order and get it Price is quite high though, 1333 Euro for body only

Next shipment for NL/BE is said to be two, three weeks, shortage of body only (which is odd as the K-5 + 18-55 is not being sold at all or so it seems).

Here too. I have just peeked into a few Pentax shops here in Athens in the last 2-3 days and so far, not one on the shelf...that isn't saying they haven't had any yet as some of them may have never hit the shelves due to pre-orders, but none on display nonetheless. I just hope these are not K-5's exploding in the mail.
