Are you importing them as a PEF or DNG?

Ditto with adobeRGB. Maybe LR and PS need to updated to convert the K5 files?

Just checked LR and PS, both running the latest Raw converter. Why would the muti exposure file be any different to a normal one? Will try some different options tomorrow and see how I go.

I am pretty sure I read in a Photography Magazine that a lot of cameras had problems in RAW conversion in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom using RGB but were okay using CMYK. It may be worth trying CMYK to see if that resolves the problem.

@ozlizard - To answer your question about Auto EV in the multi-exposure menu, it differs from the non-Auto EV in that the exposure will be averaged amongst all frames rather than stacked additively. The frame will still record any relative movement of features between the frame but the camera figures out the exposure. Both modes will result in a decrease in noise compared to a single frame (lower effective ISO). And this feature is indeed in your K20D.

I've just tried the same multi exposure test.

Tav mode, F8, 9 exposures. Imported DNG files into my hard drive using Bridge version 3.0.0.46 opened in ACR (6.3) and PS 4 (11.0.2) and also imported into LR3.3. Colour space = Adobe RGB

Absolutely no problem with my images, so I cannot offer any attempt at a solution other than to offer the above info.

Howdy

Just bought my K-5 from Paxtons in Chatswood. I casually asked them if they had it (wasn't expecting them to say yes because they don't have it on display) and surprise surprise they did.

Confirmed no sensor stain so bought it.

Still waiting for the battery to charge :-(

Congratulations Christine.

I love my lemon of a camera K5.

Even with it's faults at the moment it is still the best DSLR Pentax have made.

Enjoy

Peter

Hi. If you are using any kind of tilt flash, it may be wise to err on the side of caution and enable D-Range Setting -> Highlight Correction - ON to avoid potential overexposure in this case. Mind, you have probably tested this out for yourself anyway beforehand. I know I would

Well thats a mystery. Will try imorting with bridge.

Steve-the file you imported using the Pentax software, have you tried to bring it into LR or PS after it had been converted?
