Another good reason, my wife too may want to learn about photography one day and the k200d would be great for her, and yeah the Limited lenses will be off limits!

I can see the following scenerio unfolding in the future-

wife-"why are they called Limted lenses?"
me- "because they are Limited to my use only"
Perfect self justification for buying more of them!

-And for sentimental reasons.
These are also reasons for me to keep it. Especially the last. I have tended to keep my "first" of my camera collection (first film slr, first digital, first film camera etc) with few exceptions.

OK, removing all advertising for the K200. Didnt take much convincing, did I

Good on ya! TBH, I'm only upgrading because I want better low light IQ, focusing and DR and this may be the last chance I get to upgrade for a few years. I still have so much to learn, but feel the benefits of the K-5 will grant me a bigger resource to aid, gratify and further my own skills... plus I want one in silver!

Good luck! Mind you, I think Pentaxians are the only ones who regard Pentax as pro gear so maybe.. Then again, whats WOMAD. I'm assuming some Adelaide event where the security guys will confiscate your gear if they think its professional stuff.

Onko Pentax tehtaat viellä toiminnassa ja kamera toimitukset edelleen mahdollisia. Vai vaikuttaako Japani tsunam Pentax toimintaan.

well i got in! There were plenty of other DSLR's around with better / longer lenses than mine (who weren't event photographers). But mine was the only Pentax i saw. There was most likely at least a couple of Pentax shooters there but i didn't see them.

Well i rang up DCW Brisbane today to make sure that they have them in stock.
They currently have 9 in store, and one has been put aside for me.
Roll on Saturday!
