I have it on Gumtree ATM, on Ebay do you use the auction process or set price?

auction, 7 days, 99cents and free postage That way you get maximum people 'watching'

Just make sure you have a good title and even sub title so all key words for searching is covered.
Plus a picture.
Plus its in the correct category.
Plus have the auction finish at a 'prime' time so that those watchers are at their desk and bidding at the end when impulses take over :P

You have to accept that to get a good bulk order deal like they obviously did (to enable them to offer that ~AUD-75 extra discount retail-level special in the first place), Ryda wouldn't exactly be high on CRKs list for urgent supply.

TANSTAAFL in this world.

Might be reasonable to expect they'd planned to be in position to come good for customers by end this week though.

Have they received the stock yet DoohanOk?
I spoke to them yesterday and they said they would be sent out today...

Is that arrival on my doorstep thursday/friday? Or sent from their depo on thursday/friday?

Just called them and I'm getting sick of hearing the standard spiel.. "They are due to be arriving with us today". Three days in a row now.

Well, I'm not sure if the tales of stolen stock are true or salesman's spin, but I solved the supply problem by walking into Michael's in Melbourne. They didn't seem to have a supply problem and I walked away from the shop with my sparkly new K-5 under my arm. I didn't get the cheapest price around, but I don't really care, I have the camera.

First impressions are ..WOW!

Basically the same great body as my K-7 with a few subtle tweaks. The sensor and DR are wonderful, the AF is fast and accurate. (it may not look as impressive in the VF as a Nikon D7k, with all the flashing AF points, but it seems to do the job just as well.) 20ish frames per burst at 7fps is more than enough for any sporting event, surely.

Enough writing, time to go shooting

Would it help if someone reminded you of this:

1. You Ryda buyers are pocketing at least an extra 75 bucks over others, surely not to be sneezed at!
2. Extended delay is likely because Ryda & CRK are working their bumholes off to ship you a 'clean' K-5, instead of one you'd only have to ship back, and face another wait...
3. That 75 bucks would just about buy you a 30min "exposure" at StKilda in Melbin or KingsX in Sinney!

Still wanna complain fellas?
Yeah I knew it, being Aussies you probably expect them to send you a free slab of Tooheys Red now too for the inconvenience!

What? Don't you mean VB?

I decided not to wait for the cheap stock to come in and paid $1750 nearly two weeks ago. So it cost me a bit more. Eh. I've had it in my hands for the extra time and it would have cost me more in lost billable time than I would have saved by spending the extra time searching and chasing the cheaper deal - not to mention the extra stress. I'm happy.

Richard.

I reckon that there should be a new rule that reads;
"No-one can post on here if they have a new K5 unless I have previously notified that I am in posession of one".
I think that is only fair. Thank you.
