Here is a link to high ISO Samples of Nikon D7000 :
Picasa Web Albums - Josh Weiss - D7000 ISO Test
Since Pentax K-5 and Nikon D7000 share same sensor from Sony, it seems Pentax K-5 is going to perform a lot better than what K-7 does. Will still wait for some samples from users.

I have no doubt already the K-5 is a great performer. Up against the D7000 I think IQ will be better. Pentax always seems to find a way to get something out of a sensor that other manufacturers can't. Of course when the official reviews roll in the K5 will be lambasted for some odd reason, and the D7000 will have a halo around it, but that is another topic!

Oh, and if OGL is giving a glowing review, I am sold even more!

Don't be so sure about that: Both the K-7 and the K-x got lots of really good reviews! dpreview concluded: "Semi-pro spec for mid-range money makes the K-7 an incredibly attractive option for the serious photographer wanting something a little less mainstream without compromising performance. Solid as a tank and feature packed - yet surprisingly compact - the K-7's only real weak spot is its high ISO performance."

Ogl's post is entirely positive re: a Pentax product. I'm not being snarky here - just noting a good thing.

I think that deserves some recognition. Applause, Ogl. Please post a few when the new K-5 arrives.

I have read complaints on some Nikon forums, about Nikon using cheap/crude anti-aliasing filters on the D90 and D7000. If that is true, Nikon is knee-capping their potential image quality to protect more expensive camera models. It's exactly the kind of behaviour that bugs me about Nikon ... and that Pentax seems less willing to engage in.

I'm getting exited...as a huge fan of my k200d's iso 100-200 picture quality I always expressed my criticism about the K-x's low iso output (which camera I also own and use with joy when high iso is needed).

..so it's good to hear this from somebody who also praises the k200d:-)

We have no even prices for K-5 from Pentax distributors in Russia...
No dates, no prices....No any info about camera, DA35 and DA18-135

Pentax should innovate by allowing an anti-alias filter one can switch in and out. Now that would be cool!

Im still waiting to see the comparison on Dynamic Range test between the K-5 vs K20D/K200D
According to GordonBGood over at dpreview, the K-5 sensor at ISO 80 has 14 stops of DR, which is roughly 3.6 stops more than the K20D/K-7's. That is amazing and is at least as important as high ISO noise levels.

Haha, yeah the words from dpreview are always good (edit: I do actually mean this, their bread and butter of their actual reviews are usually very good), and their conclusions will go something along these lines:

D7000: XOXOXOXOXOXOXXX. score: 75
K5: likely the best aps-c camera ever made to date. score: 68

HAHAHA! a classic no doubt.

I'll never forget the time they reviewed a Pentax camera that performed better than... in most of the tests only to end-up with an sub-par recommendation.

By sub-par, I can only guess you mean the 'K-mount' scoring curve

Wow! thats nice to hear..
Im surprise theres not a thread regarding DR comparison of the K5 vs K20D since theres a lot of thread showing high iso comparison.

I thought about it and I've come accross a few moments in RAW development where DR was very unlike Pentax.
