I just sent him an email asking if my (much older) model can be supported: K100D Super
This looks very promising!

oh just so you guys know, there *should* be a memory card in the camera for the tethering software to work. his fixes are great, esp remembering where to autosave files, and the 4 star JPEG quality. still a bit quirky with the menus on my K-5 after the initial shot (have to either disconnect the K-5 OR press the LV button to re-enable the menus). see attached for a pic of me using my K-5 with a Tokina AT-X 28-70mm f/2.6-2.8

K-X Tethering: check, what about wired remote?

I've been using the PK_Tether program for a couple of days on my new k-x and it got me to thinking...
If the shutter and AF function can be controlled by this program via the USB connection, wouldn't it be relatively easy to make a device that connects to the camera's USB port and works as a wired remote shutter? I know a lot of folks would prefer this to the IR remote.

Since the k-x lacks the TRS connector jack for shutter/AF control, there should be a way to control shutter and AF via the USB connector now that it's proven that tethering is possible.
Any thoughts?
