the kr had a bad or not so good mark by DXO
what i don't understand is folks are singing high praises for the k5 and rightfully so and no one is bashing DXO, but with the results of the kr being where it's at, folks bash DXO.
so what's the verdict on DXO? it's good if it shows good scores for your camera and it's bad if it doesn't?
I think people were disappointed that the Kr didn't score better (relative to the Kx). That said, I don't know if there was a good basis to expect that it would.
As for the K5 results, it confirms what all the initial user reports (and my own usage) showed.
Personally, I don't know enough about DXO's test methods, or camera evaluation, to form a verdict on DXO testing itself. But the "it's good if it scores well, bad if it doesn't" is just human nature.
