Here are a few quick pics I took on the second day I had my camera... they are not of the calibre of some of the awesome pics posted above, but they are some of the first pics to come out of my K5d.

High ISO straight JPG out of the camera. The only editing done was a bit of cropping and a tiny bit of levels adjustment on a few pics.

Shot in TAv mode with a DA55-300

A step in the right direction
(ISO 3200, f5.8, 1/250, 300mm)

You light up my life...
(ISO 1100, f5.8, 1/250, 300mm)

Ready to go...
(ISO 3200, f4.5, 1/250, 97mm)

Hose A and Hose B
(ISO 6400, f4.5, 1/250, 135mm)

Pat
Truly great pics showing the high ISO capabilities of this K5.

This is why I bought the K5!

When I put my procurement submission to the Minister for War and Finance, she questioned why I "needed" a K5. My answer was that it would allow me to take better shots of birds in low light. .... and today, I was able to show her ladyship a Variegated Wren taken at ISO3200 with no post processing to reduce noise.

TAv mode, 1/500th, f4.5, ISO3200, taken in Raw (DNG)

I shot this about 2 weeks ago. I used a tripod, of course. I up-graded from the K20D. I really like the K-5. The performance is very noticeably better than the K20.
