The K5 is great for B&W, so much DR and headroom in the images. Here are 2 from the same morning.

Love these landscapes. Are they stitched pictures or a cropped single shot?

In #2 this thing in the sky, do you guys think it is a hot pixel?

Greetings
Yes. I'd say it's the biggest Hot-Pixel for at least another 4.3 light years. ;-P

So many gorgeous photos that I'm scared to post mine

K5 + M50/1.7 @ f/2.8 (rest of the info in the exif)

K5 + DFA100WR
I like the dog shot.. beautiful eyes. I'm no expert but if the contrast was raised a touch and the mids/lights raised a couple of notches (curve tool in LR or Photoshop) it would be perfect.

Thanks bossa. The B&W's are cropped images, one of the advantages of the FOV of the Sigma 10-20. I had one of these printed to 1000mmx400mm with no problems.

It's good to know they can go that large. Is it the B&W only or would colour also be OK at that size? I think B&W has the advantage though in this as it more or less triples the 'resolution' of the sensor in a way.

PS: I went to your website and marveled at your work. I've only just come back to photography (and soon painting) after a 28 year lay-off and I'm starting to wonder what I have to offer after seeing the work around me.

Are your landscapes all K-5 or do you also use larger formats?

Cheers
Steve

Thanks Steve. I have had colour done nearly that large from my K20 but not from the K5 yet. I would imagine it would be fine and maybe even a bit bigger. All the landscapes are either K5 or K20. Welcome back to the wonderful world of photography! Judging by your image above you are right back in the saddle. You have some very nice lenses there. I have just purchased the DA 50-135 but have yet to come to terms with it.

Thanks Greg. I've been rather obsessed over the past few months... ..trying to compensate for all that lost time I guess.. I have bought a few of the lenses as used items and also new but still have built a sizable a debt that needs addressing. My main reason for the camera was to develop ideas for paintings but it's (photography) taken on a life and meaning all it's own on top of that.

Know what you mean Steve. I used to do a lot of painting back in th 80's and always intended to take it up again but digital photography can be so creative!
Thanks Turtle.

I noticed months ago that the only lens you listed was the 10-20. I was impressed that anyone could manage with one such lens only. (This was about the time I bought one and I am still working on using it to its best advantage! I've never previously used one so short.) LBA obviously isn't a problem for you. I assume that you have had other lenses, all now discarded? I love your work.
