My first post in this great forum community and first pic to share. No jaw dropping pic from me, so hope you guys don't mind. I just find this plant interesting and want to share. Coming from m4/3 camp and using Canikon for a brief moment, I'm very happy about K5 and the 35mm limited. This site is very informative and has been a great help for me. Suggestion welcomed.

Agreed! One of the most inspirational threads on this forum!

Adding a lion shot. Would have loved to have this with a thinner DoF, but f/8 was what I did, so...

I posted these in an astrophotography thread on here but I wanted to share them with all my friends here in the K-5 forum too. These are my first ever 'stacked' astrophotos. Hope you enjoy. I know some of them are a little distorted. I'm still in the learning process.

Andromeda Galaxy/Pleiades/Horsehead Nebula: all Pentax K-5, Sigma 70-200APO@200mm f2.8, ISO 1600, 25 one minute exposures stacked with DeepSkyStacker, tracked with AstroTrac. The Pleiades was 33 one minute exposures. SEMPER FI!
