I'm sure she's right (we all do:that's why they invented the DELETE button ;~) but the ones you've posted are quite nice.

Terrific set, Frederic!

Hi there,

I have read all this thread, all photos and comments in here. And I must admit, that some of You have change the way I start to see the world.... to mention: Schraubstock, TOUGEFC, fs999, ozlizard, IIGQ4U. Thank You.

My wife says I make crappy photos (which is partly true ) but still, trying to learn how to see the world in the way You all do, catch the unique moments...

Hope to excell in close feature.. and acquire some of those limiteds .... though I still have no idea how to "marry" family, work, wish to photograph, wish to do some fishing, guitar, watchmaking... 24 hrs is far to small for a day
Some of my early shootings with K5 below.

Thank you very much for the kind words

I don't know what your wife is talking about. Your photos look pretty good to me. I especially like the photo with the shadow in the hallway. This photo would probably look great as a black & white as well.

What a great thread. Inspirational. Here's a grab shot of an 100 year old aunt.
Natural light, 1/60 f5.6 ISO640 18-135mm@135mm handheld.
PP was no more than recovering a smidge of highlight.

Uploading the picture of my aunt reduced the file size to 38KB. Is this normal?

Editing pics on your laptop quickly to get a daily pic posted leads to some "interesting" things that you didn't notice at the time. Including your camera logo reflecting in the glass.

Panning attempts

In the last month I have been experimenting with blurred and panning images trying to emulate the professionals, so far I am quite happy with the results.
All taken with K5 and DA*16-50mm except 'The dogs' DA*60-250mm. I was never one to go to sporting events until I got my K5 now I have under my belt - surfing, wind surfing, soccer, horse racing, cycling, hockey, greyhound racing, dressage, equestrian eventing and this weekend BMX and skateboarding.

Love the train platform shot, Alibaba.

Happily got a K-5 for Xmas, thought posting here might slowly drag my standard up .Random photos shot with either 50mm/1.7 or 135mm/3.5 manual primes.
