Here are a few shots take of the past winter storm. I love how i was able to under expose the image then later use fill light in photoshop to bring out all the details in the shadows, while still retaining the details in the snow. If you do look closely u will see that these images do show a lot of pf and ca but for normal prints and an untrained eye they are perfect.

The correct side of the planet

On the correct side of the planet, the world is not covered with ice and blizzards, and my wife's roses are doing brilliantly. Sigma 70-200 f2.8 HSM II in TAv mode, 1/250th, f5.6, focal length 200mm, ISO 160.

There are many impressive shots here.... I hope you K5 owners will keep posting, I have linked to this thread in several places as witness to the K5 abilities, and more photos would be helpful for potential buyers.

There are many negative reports about problems, and I am not saying some don't exist, but I also know that every snake is not lethal....even though Mrs Rupert swears they are. You guys with the K5's....show us what you have, the photos are amazing, and should be seen.
Best Regards!

Yesterday I was at a volleyball tournament, ERMAsport Volleyball Classic in Almelo in the Netherlands where the womens final was between the winning Belgium team Asterix Kieldrecht (in red) and the German team Aurubis Hamburg. Mainly used the DA*55mm and FA*85mm.

For this I used the DA21mm

Well all in all the K-5 did quit well. AWB was a little off, but I shoot in RAW, If I wanted I could have corrected it for the jpeg's. Shooting in burst is a little slow, waiting for the processor to do its work everytime. I mainly used pre-focus for action, and some AF-c but that is a little slow for this sport. The K-5 did a better job then the K-7 could.

There are so many wonderful shots in this thread! I've only had my K5 for a couple of days and am still getting used to it. There's a lot to learn, and I still haven't really got a good handle on everything. But here's a couple of pictures I thought came out pretty well:

I still have a lot to learn about this camera, but so far I love it!

My regards to you that are posting these great K5 shots here, and continue to post them! They are indeed impressive! I'll view all you post, no question about it!

My sympathy to RonHendriks, although I loved your shots, it is a obvious that you got a K5 with "Rear Focus" issues, also known a "Hiney Hunting". You could return it for another one, but if it is too much hassle........I am interested, I wouldn't find it a problem at all! Nice shooting, and other than a little WB issue, easily corrected, they are great sharp shots!
Best Regards!
