Every time I think of selling my 50-135 you come up with shots like these.. Cheers Frederic. I really need to try some of those Hoya close-up lenses.

That's OK toothpick, there isn't anything that is truly original anyway. We all try to emulate something that we've seen and admired from others.

I've gotta say fs999, these are some of the most impressive photos that I've seen together in one group. I don't know how you do it. You must either have a superb eye or you constantly encounter exceptional scenes. Just this one page represents more than I would see in a good year of world travel. Wow.

Spring has sprung in Okinawa

Being a born and bred Canadian, living now in Okinawa, Japan I can't believe how early the cherry blossoms come... how early spring comes!

fs999 - Your shots always make me want to buy new lenses...specifically the Sigma and the 15mm (both of which I've been tempted by for some time!). The 15mm is the most tempting because I've yet to really hear a bad word about it!

Jim - what lens did you use for that shot of the boat?

Another one from me, this time using a Cokin Grad ND. It's the first time I've ever used non-screw in filters, think it will take a bit of getting used to! This shot has ended up looking more like the middle of the night than a 4pm sunset!
