It seems if you get the right 16 50 it rocks, other wise it becomes a four letter (or number) word.

Foggetabout it!

Shot at night in the foggy weather. Bracketed 5 but used 4 frames in CS5 ProHDR tuned in LR3. DA 16-50mm @ 16mm iso 80
Coca Cola shut this location down not too long ago. Why do they reverse the store signs???

Not mirrored. That is the natural rock formation. I did fool with the colors a little in PP.

Isn't he talking about the Coke sign, not the rock formation?

I like that Jim - the mirrored sign adds an extra touch of surrealism.

Not my norm but you've got to try everything once..

Its not mirrored. That is the way the sign is in reality. It is backwards on the building. Why would they reverse the sign when they went out of business? I've seen another company do this as well. A furniture store shutdown and they're sign is reversed too.

Most signs are leased. They seem to reverse them because no one is paying the lease anymore but they still want to protect the internals from the elements.

Thank you! So many people asked me why its backwards. Some said I should reverse it but that would defeat the story of the image.

First one is with my Vivitar 135mm screw mount lens I got for around $10, I got four old Vivitar lenses for $40 for the set off Craigslist, and I just love the IQ of these lenses. The second image is from my Kit lens I got with my K-x, I just popped it onto my new K-5 and WhaLa!
It was a rather cloudy day and I took these photos just before mother nature unleashed her fury.......enjoy~Name: IMGP0154.jpg

If you go through the trouble to reverse them you may as well just take it down instead.

I don't follow. Take what down the Plexiglas or the frame and electrical? Much cheaper to just reverse the existing and have an inside track for sign leasing to the new tenant. I'm not in the biz but that is the way it works here abouts.
