A few great elements went into making this:
- A naturally always-smiling baby
- K5
- FA 43mm, a lens I am just mesmerized by

The picture was taken with lens wide open, since there was not much light (and it was tungsten)

Cheers - its not far from me and the tarn is a short walk from the road so just a normal dawn visit. Planning to do some overnighters this year - normally I'll walk up in the dark to places that I've already checked out in daylight. Did The Fiddler in dawn earlier this year which was a two hour hike in the dark. No skies but an amazing view.

Don't do birds but snapped our resident blackbirds chicks leaving the nest for the first time this morning whilst I was making the coffee. The chick was in the clear for a couple of minutes before heading back into cover. D-FA 100WR wide open and ISO1600.

Holy Guacamole! One of these days, I'll learn how to take pics that look like this. These make me go out and buy Hoya close up filters.

Just had a couple of thunderstorms go through. Could not but pop to the bottom of the shared garden to catch the light

Thank you ! It is the Hoya/Kenko Pro1D Closeup N3 you have to find, not the standard stacked +1,+2,+3,+4

Nice shots Pinholecam and Mark !

It was a nice day here today so I looked around for something to shoot with a couple of my newest lenses. I've wanted a macro 1:1 lens for a while so I was glad to pick up the Tamron 90mm f/2.8.

Also took a trip to a lake to shoot with the Bigma.
