Beautiful mono with great tones and a cracking lead in.

Dog walking pic from last week.

Another beautiful landscape, Mark. I love the way the road winds its way across the side of the hill, gradually finding its way down to the lower levels. Are those dry stone walls on both sides of the road (and in other places in the shot)? A few hours of labour involved there

Richard.

Cheers. The dry stone walls stretch for miles in this area Richard. Amazing amount of work but all beautifully executed. The road itself is known as The Struggle and winds its way down to Ambleside.

One from Great Mell Fell - I'd been up here a few days before walking the dog. I only had the wee LX5 and the light was fabulous. So nice that I went back with the K5 - wasn't quite as nice this time but its still one of my favourite views.

Mark, your postings just get better and better - which I would have thought impossible.

The dog walk image is amazing, and as someone else has already pointed out, reminiscent of a painting from the old masters. The image of the Great Mell Fell is stunning - the colors, perspective and composition are superb. I particularly like the feeling of movement from right to left across the foreground.

I have been an amateur photographer for many years and I feel very humble when I view your work.

Frederic, you give me more confidence to shoot longer exposures at high ISO. And shoot at higher ISO in general. I think I'm addicted to the DR that ISO80 gives me with this camera.

Twitch your garden shot is lovely.
I really like the barn capture as well. Very well done.

Love these shots.. I normally hate hexagonal COC's but they look great in the top shot.

Thank you Jim - I appreciate the comment. I seem to be getting my motivation back after a flat few weeks (up at 3.30am to go down to the coast outside Edinburgh). I am extremely lucky to live in an area so rich in pickings for a landscape photographer. Some days you just need to point and shoot.

Fairly sure I haven't put this up before Bossa although the shot with the LX5 is on my flickr page. Probably my favourite image I've taken with that camera..

Thank you as well Steliost.

Thank you Rupert. I wasn't entirely positive about the square crop and the reflection line absolutely right in the middle but I quite liked it that way.
