nice shot mate...but pray tell...what is the "blue hour"..?
Blue hour is a time of twilight when the sky is very blue. Here is the wikipedia entry: Blue hour - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and here is a nice website that will calculate specific times for Blue Hours around the world: http://www.bluehoursite.com/

Color and B&W

Pentax Peppers

I'm impressed at how well the K5 holds onto bright colors at high ISO. This was 6400 with the 35mm f/2.8 macro limited.

A B&W landscape shot today with my new 15mm limited. I used the latest version of C1 to process the RAW and correct some distortion using the new keystone tool (straightened sign post at right).

Took my first trip to San Francisco last week with my trusty K-5. Was super excited to see if I could get some good shots and it didn't let me down.... Shooting in low light wasn't a problem at all. I used a little noise reduction in CS5... the rest is RAW straight out of camera..

Here is one I took in Jan this year in Furano Japan. Maybe the blue hour was just coming to an end.

No I am not a fan of MD, just stood there waiting for the bus, was bored and I thought the colours looked interesting.

Well you're right: it's a nice photo in all other respects.

Curse you 10-17mm Fisheye CA! It's all good (maybe I'll remove it at a later time). I still love it anyway Don't let this dreaded HDR fool you. It was extremely dark inside this theatre. The black ceiling sucks all light into its abyss.

great shot!! - CA is easy to remove from the 10-17 in lightroom

This is with a DA 21mm Ltd at a wooden boat show in Hobart, Australia last weekend. Who says men can't do too things at once. Subject is a forum member showing off his FA 24mm.

Another shot from same boat show. I really like the K-5 and 43mm Ltd combination.

David,

This one made me laugh. Nice composition and B&W conversion.

I am loving the Dynamic Range on this beast. It really helps on sunsets.
