Any chance you could elaborate on your exposure/post-processing, especially for the river shots? Most of my rambles here in the States take me to such scenes, but as a digital newbie, I don't know how essential such techniques such as HDR (or even using a CPL or GND filter for that matter) are to bringing back results like you are getting.
Wasn't quite sure which ones you meant by the river ones but.....
the paperbark trees was iso 100 f5.6 1/25, the greeny stream one was iso 100, f6.3 1/20. Didn't need much post-processing for those two, just a bit of contrast and reduction of highlights, was really quite impressed at how well they came up out of camera. Think I might have had the polarising filter on for the greeny stream one.
The waterfall ones I used a mixture of lenses - fisheye, ultra wide angle and the kit 18-135. Set the ISO to 100 and the aperture to f10 and let the camera adjust the shutter speed. Used the CPL for the kit 18-135 but dont have one for the fish eye or the uwa so just underexposed a little bit, because I've found with the wide angle it overexposes even if the exposure looks correct. Again just a little bit of contrast, highlight reduction and the teeniest boost in saturation
