I met my K5 first time last night. This is the first shot I would like to share with you. My little ladies.

Apart of some dust on the sensor everything else seems OK so far, we are in the 'Know us better' stage.

Thanks FS & JVA59 I got some nice light through the windows yesterday for just long enough to get a few decent little birdie shots! I like good luck, without it I'd never get much of anything!

VMANTAS- Nice shot of some lovely young ladies! You will love the K5, it is a great camera. Read the manual, it does some amazing things and is a joy to use. Post here....we love K5 photos!

FS- You just keep pumping out those great shots! #2 and #7 are artwork shots, they need frames! The rest of them are excellent, as usual. It was a nice assortment to view! Loved every one!

I was happy to get the bird shots, I need them for card fronts. I make and print my own cards on parchment paper, and these will get me started just in time!

This will be one of the fronts on a 4x5 folded card.

Regards!

Kcupp -Gorgeous shots, wish I was there! Where is that? As winter approaches rapidly here, I could sure find comfort in a place like that!

Frederic-- I really love the post-processing of the third shot ("Door and Bicycle")--did you do that through Topaz bweffects?

Frederic-- Excellent, you've pointed me in another direction (so many sliders, so little time) though of course it's really the charming composition that just "works."

FS- You do excellent processing. It's an area where I could use more practice and tutoring. Most of my processing has involved portrait shooting, but overall I could spend more time on some of those websites like Topaz.
One of my favorite software programs is DXO FilmPak3...it is amazing for B/W and other conversions using dozens of different film types.

K5 FilmPak3 conversion.

The original...

Got myself a k5ii last black friday and I'm liking it. First few shots using a DAL-55-300.

Is it wrong to post a photo of the K3 in the K5 thread?
