X-posted. K-5 + FA 100 f/2.8 Macro. It's a dandy combo.

Red Tailed Guenons w/ old MF Tam SP 80-200 2.8

I saw someone selling their Tamron SP 80-200 F2.8 lens in the classifieds... I still have mine, even though I've now gone to using the newer Tamron AF 70-200 2.8, I still really have fond memories of using this old manual focus beast. Its always been very sharp and has creamy bokeh.

Some Red Tailed Guenons @ Lowery Park. I always get a kick out of their expressions and social behaviour.

---------- Post added 05-03-14 at 01:17 PM ----------

Since I just posted above with the old MF SP Tam, here is an action shot with my newer AF Tamron 70-200 F2.8.
Who says the K5 is no good for action? Heh... it just takes a little practice, and getting your timing down pat. Of course, it doesn't hurt to crank up the ISO & shutter either, and have a bright sunny day too... this was 1/1250th sec ISO 2000 zoomed all the way out to 200mm. The old K-5 classic continues to amaze me that ISO 2000 (granted in bright daylight) can still look so clean.
Eric

The newer AF Tamron is silly sharp if you can get your subject to sit still... I think this red shouldered hawk is giving me the "back off buddy" look, heh heh.

Wow, great shots here lately!

I have been out and about with the FA 28 and found that it is a nice lens for finding leading lines. Actually, it's a great little allrounder, and I'm liking it a lot. Fits well between the DA 21 and the DA 35, too

Not much happening here....looks like Summer has arrived early, and Otis is back to his usual hard work.
