Few pics from a hike along the Myakka River, Sarasota County, FL. What we call the true Old Florida. Love how the shade of green, brown, and blue come to life with the K-5.

So much contrast and detail in these shots!

Spring came to Southern California finally, the season hasn't been as great
as last year, but still we enjoyed the weekend visiting our favorite locations.

Hi Kathie
Nice pics, I too like the reflection of the sky in the first shot.
I was just wondering, do you shoot JPG or RAW ?
The second last shot shows some quite heavy banding in the sky, is this the preview pic on display here ? In PP this should disappear.

Greetings

Hi Kathiee
It's me again. I forgot to mention, (you know probably anyway) if you use a polarizer for those kind of shots some of these pics would have come out possibly a bit better as far as the sky is concerned. And I think this is your passion as much as it is mine.

Greetings from sunny Melbourne

Right now I am using the JPEG/RAW feature as I have yet to get a photoeditor and my computer does not read RAW. Still shooting in both will let me have RAW for the future use. A photoeditor is on my wish list, but honestly there other items ahead of it.

Had a polarizer with me, but found the pictures in the woods were too dark with it, so took it off.

We have a good deal of rain this week, so there were opportunities to take reflection pics in the woods....

Actually like the tail location in the shot... makes it look like it is trailing off the picture.
