Nice images from Las Vegas. The night shots are really good especially if you were in a gondola and behind a window.

Great shots Louis, and for some reason, the first pic reminds me of a movie... only that doesn't look like Charlton Heston.

Thank you both!

Thanks, this place is a treasure trove of photo ops, I took a bunch of shots from inside the gondola (AKA pod) they didn't come out all that great but I am happy with the results

I am becoming a big fan of shake reduction. Here is a photo that I took at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck, ND. IT is a fossil display of two smilodons (saber tooth cats) attacking and now extinct bison called Bison Antiquus. This particular species of bison could reach a size of 4000 pounds or 1800 kilograms. I used a Sigma 17 -70mm f2.8 04.0 lens at .3 seconds f5.6 using available light.

The clouds were a little dramatic that day.

Nice stuff here from Vegas, amazing flowers from FS, and street scenes from filming in NY. I look at many forums on this site, but this thread is one of the best.

Here are two shots from WA DC. First is Robert Kennedy's grave. Other is an ice cream vendor on a hot day.

Why it's Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson! A great TV show IMHO.
Hey wtlwdwgn!

I'll be passing through Billings tomorrow (August 26) on my way from Bismarck, ND to Livingston, MT. I will be stopping at Cabelas to get some clothing as I left my cold weather clothing at home. I also left my battery charger at home to. Luckily there is a place in Bismark called Bob's Photo that sells Pentax equipment. I picked up a third part charger there. I plan on stopping at Livingston so I can get an early start to Yellowstone the next day. I am going to try to capture the Devil's Slide in the early morning sunlight before heading into the park. Not sure how many days I will be there. I have to be back at work in two weeks and will be going home through Las Vegas. So many miles and so few stops for photos.

Sounds like a helluva trip. I got word today that there 50+ head of bighorn sheep on the cliffs on the left side of the road between Gardiner and Mammoth. Should be some good shootin' there.
