Great series again, Frederic ... the DA 15 shot is cool. Were you at MFD and near wide open (?); just curious and like the result a lot ... Salut, J

Every time I see a series of shots made by fs999, or by others( sorry, you are to many) I suffer. Why I can't do this, or this?

Next seconds, I remember that I've made thousands of portraits, in the street, in creyons and colors some times, with many spectators every time, and I remember the feeling when I have finished a portrait, and the persons/subject was almost ready to jump over all over the street of satisfaction. And sometimes, they realy jump all over the street. So, I knew, that even if I am a good portraitist, in drawings, that it's not necessary make me a good photographer.

So, congrats to you all.

FS999 Very nice shots. The shot of the windy lake.. Before I clicked on it, I knew, Scotland.. I find Scotland has a very unique colour. I work and spend many holidays there. Its very alone (if you will), in its light and colour. Like no other place I know.

Blood Moon

I felt inspired seeing the moon while driving home with my wife from visiting with family... got home, dragged out the tripod and tried my first moon shot with this combo. Comments welcome.

K5 Classic, Tamron 70-200 plus Tamron 1.4x converter. The detail holds up well for birding, and the Moon I found out. Leared a few things, low ISO is your friend, and the remote 12 second timer.
This is a crop at 100% viewing when you click to open the image.

Agree, the only other place that reminds me of the very bright light, landforms, and colours is southern New Zealand. Half the flora (and fauna for that matter) come from Scotland too!

I spent 1/4 of my childhood playing with trains, thanks for the memories.
