New "Franken-lens" project here ... Thanks to my Dremel and a Chinese M42 to PK flanged adapter, I converted a Mamiya/Sekor Auto SX 50/2 (another thrift store acquisition, 3). Far focus is only about ten feet ... more can be gained if I machine the aperture ring down, etc.

Having fun experimenting with this new creation ... a few test captures in our garden near wide open and MFD... Salut, J (xpost)

Samyang 8mm & K-5

(X-posted in Fisheye Fever.)

I thought my new Sigma 10-20 3.5 would replace the 8mm FE, but I still like what this lens can do!

Of course, if you stay out shooting stars, one must travel the bumpy road at night.

Trona Pinnacles - I left here and rode all night to get home 463 miles away. Got home at 5:15 AM.

Arizona Dave, very nice pictures. No12 can be called ''The Long Ride to Orion'', cause this constellation is straight ahead your road.

---------- Post added 10-31-14 at 04:51 PM ----------

After a long time I'm posting some photos here.

I was in Constanta, on a storm with 75km/h winds, and to my surprise, it was an reunion of photographers on the shore. I've never saw a bigger concentration of DSLR user in one place. Maybe a quarter of about 30 persons present, has a DSLR.

I didn't have time to process all the pictures I've capture in two hours (I couldn't stand longer in that cold wind). There are many more, so I choose from the firsts I have taken.

.
