Rupert,

Nice shot. Your comment about a record warm winter is pretty funny. Up here in western New York we just had the coldest February since they started collecting weather data in this area in 1830.

But you can assure Otis that his northern relatives have been well attended to this winter. They have bee very busy too. Our snow pack is almost two months old now and they have built their own system of tunnels through the snow. They start at the base of a tree and go to the areas where their food is. Pretty funny to see them run a short distance, disappear from sight and the pop up at the base of a tree. It is either tunnels or they have built the world's first Heisenberg Compensator for a transported system and are beaming themselves around the neighborhood. It seems the logical explanation.

Rondec...Those are two of the best Titmouse and Chickadee shots I have seen. I can never get those two birds to my satisfaction.

FS (Frederic) I mentioned to Otis on Skype this morning (Otis is vacationing in the Bahamas until the winter passes ) that you are still here and posting gorgeous shots at your usual record pace. Since you are one of Otis' favorite shooters, I was surprised to hear him say that you don't really exist, you are just a machine that pumps out photos like magic. He said his intelligence gathering squirrels have located a concrete block building in the South of France where a big computer-like machine sits inside connected to the internet and shoots out photos 24/7.
Otis is hardly ever wrong...but I find that a shocking story! If it is true, you are a damn fine machine! I'll gladly send you a can of machine oil to keep you going!

A few from this wintery morning here in Texas, shot out my office windows....the snow is melting fast this morning...which is a good thing!

Doves, there must be over a hundred of them are waiting in the Woods of Otis for me to put out the feed on the cedar fence.

I cut off his tail a little...I'm not that great a shooter, I'm better at writing a bunch of BS than at photography!

All of you that made donations to Otis' "Starving Orphan Squirrel Fund" can see your money wasn't wasted!
(Well...some of that money may be down in the Bahamas with Otis???)

He looks slimmer from the profile side!

Hey Charlie, I'm gonna need those wire cutters over her again to get into this cage.

The snow will be gone soon, but not soon enough for me! I'm ready for some good ol' Texas Heat!

Best Regards, you are some fine shooters over here!
Rupert

Ha ! I'm not a machine. I'm not a machine. I'm not a machine. I'm not a machine. I'm not a machine. I'm not a machine. I'm not a machine.
I've made a PayPal donation and I'm considering to recover it... But as Otis loves my automated shots, I won't do it

Superb dove and squirrel shots, as usual !

Thanks FS! I'll send out that can of machine oil, just in case...! Keep up the fine work you post here!

I'm sort of leery about trusting squirrels, after viewing those shots, it's sort of hard to believe they were starving just days ago?
Regards!
