Thanks! Well I'm gonna join right in then... Don't have much half decent stuff myself that hasn't already been posted elsewhere but here are a couple from last year that I just processed for the first time at least..

And here are a couple processed to practice with my raw editors denoising tool:

ISO 6400 (and big crop)

ISO 12800 (and big crop)

Nice birds, todd. I was very near to miss the right side of you field picture, with the sun rays. Nice too. What program do you use for cleaning?

Thanks! The above were done with Rawtherapee (RT).... My usual editing workflow is RT then into Gimp, then for denoising I used to just run Topaz Denoise within Gimp or the also capable denoising filters in the Gimp plugin called G'mic... But for the last month or so I've been determined to learn the denoising tools that are in RT well enough because they are very good and it of course makes sense to do denoising while still in the raw file, especially since Gimp is still only 8-bit, and because I've also been pushing myself to utilize more of the sharpening tools in RT, which then creates need of more denoising... I am at the point now where I can do most denoising in RT, but will still sometimes run the file through Topaz if it needs a little extra.

FS...Number 2 an 7 are my favs in that series...all are gorgeous!...as usual! I love purple...keep that in mind when you run across it!

I've posted a few birdies here lately, but Otis reminded me this morning that people don't really care that much about birds, they are so common and....he says...just plain boring. He suggested that people are more interested in handsome squirrels than old ordinary birds?

Anyhow, he promised this little girly squirrel her moment of fame here on the internet if she would come up to his Penthouse and share a few drinks with him.......looks like she shared more than a few drinks! Baby squirrels are coming soon! That's her second ear of corn this morning.....Otis makes certain his girls are well fed!

Regards!

If anyone wants a box of baby squirrels in a few weeks, just PM me, there will be plenty to go around...Otis has dozens of girly squirrel girlfriends!

Otis seems like he's plotting some evil plan.

As for Otis, he is heavily involved in his yearly "Squirrel Replenishment Drive".......No telling how many new Army Squirrels will be born this Spring....hundreds?...thousands?...who knows, Otis is a hard worker!

Looking at that cats, I think that they are the best models, by their expression, and posture, in the whole animal world.

Rupert, Luis, great shots, as usual.

Just shot this little birdie out my window a few minutes ago...not sure what he is? Haven't seen one of them around here in a long time.

Since Otis said you guys wouldn't be interested in a bird, here is a poor little "starving orphan squirrel" he wanted you to see......

I was worried that he might not survive the few days remaining of winter here...but.....not to worry! He exploded shortly after the last a shot!

Regards!

xposts from other threads.

First is Tamron SP 35-80/2.8-3.8 (01A) wide open and at "macro" MFD ... it was still cold outside, so goofing off indoors.

Second is an Auto Chinon 55/1.7 wide open (Tomioka?) converted quickly in Lr4 ... for fun.
