Thank you Frederic.

And a, can I call it a friend. A dove. Is coming everyday at my window, for something to eat. But always when the window is closed. In this picture is at about 10 meters, in a tree, and is probably very curios about what I'm doing.

Click the image for full size. But stil, I have to resize it, to fit the forum limits.

Very nice and not an easy shot to get right. Can you share with us what camera mode you used and how you selected your settings? Did you use exposure bracketing, too?

Thanks

exposure
ISO:1250
Bias -1,3EV
Metering mode Center-weighted average
lens smc PENTAX-DA 70mm F2.4 Limited
Because it's very dynamic scene, I could not use the bracketing. This is just one shot
But I increased the dynamic range. I repeated the image in the layer photoshop, then reduced the exposure of about -3EV. At the end I used a mask and modified the background photo

Can't be NSA Dove. In plane sight? And friendly? No, it's not.

I like no. 2. A strange sensation of falling - flying.

A very nice series, Frederick ! TFS, J

I "Franken-lens-ed" another one this afternoon.

I purchased a Tele-Universar 200/4.5 at the Poitiers' swap for its 13-blade aperture and 330° throw. I dissembled it since the glass was not that great and used the helicoid bottom section with a "Will Wetzlar Magninon 100/2.8" projector lens inserted in it. Good working focal distance for me and here are the first test samples upon the withering flowers of the front yard. (xpost)

Shot on the K-5 "wide open" since there's no aperture ... and that 13-blade aperture is for another Franken-lens project ... ha!

Nice flowers, Jean. This lens is really interesting. Makes me remember that I have two projection lens. One is used as a wide field telescope, the other, a Leitz 100/400 is waiting for a body. Maybe is time to make it.

Breaking the rule.

I will post a test picture taken with my old new lens. A Sigma 170-500 mm Apo, at 500mm focal length, at the edges of my town. The closest house in the foreground is about 800mm away, and the mountain peak in the back is 51 km away. The image is resized. I know I break the rule, but I like this picture.

Click to see the 1800x1080 size.

By the way. I can't find that thread: +300mm lens club. can you help me?
