Thanks for the "corn clarification", I recall knowing that, but it was a long time ago and I had forgotten.

I do know that my Squirrels eat a lot of it, along with peanuts, sunflower seeds, and Imported Exotic nuts.

All that corn will put a smile on their face!

So I was out in the back yard trying to catch little brown birds in mid-flight ( have many blurry images of 'em so far - will post when I get 'em sharp

), with my new 55-300 @f8, 1/1000 sec, and snapped this incidental image of my dog, Luna, lazing in the sun. I was in TAv mode, and didn't notice this was ISO5000(!!!!). I love this camera

Great looking Doggie at any ISO.......Tav is my favorite mode, you just set the speed and aperture you want and forget it! You will most often get a very usable shot no matter what ISO the K5 selects.

Thanks, Rupert; I love her, so my judgement isn't fair... She's made peace with Otis' minions in the area, too.

I don't like TAv on my K20D (I like high-iso on the K20D but only for B&W, which reminds me of Tri-X ), so the K-5 is a revelation
