Wow masloff, that photo is SHARP. I see it was taken at 40mm. Which lens did you use? Was it the DA 40?

My first photo shoot went well. Here are some pics.

Some HDR, some Toned and some Black and White.
Only been shooting for 2 years but been using Photoshop here and there since 5.0
The last year I learned how to use my camera but have a long way to go. I'm more into landscape but this was really fun to do.

I love hdr for the right look. It depends on what your looking for. I hate my group shot but thats what they wanted. It grabs attention and has sharp details. Hdr can be used to balance a picture out or explode with details and look surreal. Some people hate it. I feel it offers a wider artistic palette. I'm an artist and a photographer. All HDR shots were 3-5 shot hand held bracketed with my Tamron 17-50 f/2.8. Thanks for the complements!

Air power 2011

Enclosed a few shots of the flight display of one of the greatset european airshows in Europe....
i tortured my K-5 nearly steadily all day to capture the acrobats by using AF.C mode and continuous shooting mode (hi-mode) together with the DA 55-300...AF.C mode was great, hardly discarded pics..

greetings from Austria,
Sascha

I received the da 35mm macro ltd this week. I have to say I'm gonna like this lense, not that I do much macro, but it will come handy in case of ...

Now, for the next couple of weeks, it will be my default lens while the 40mm gets cleaned (beer overflow) ...

I still have a lot of learning with macro-ish photography, hands are shaking a bit too much, I will have to invest in a tripod sometime soon...

This was taken earler today at the Jean-Talon market, I was walking between hard sunshine and shaded area; and in TaV, set itself to iso 20000!!! processed with lightroom.

Obligatory bug picture ...

Olives (shot in jpg, it just came out that way), I kind of like the over exposed look (hi-key ?)

Weeds ... just got to love 'em!!!
