Loving this thread, got my K-5, and now we're socked in with heavy rains for the next few days. Indoor high ISO shots it is :-)

Here are a few quick pics I took on the second day I had my camera... they are not of the calibre of some of the awesome pics posted above, but they are some of the first pics to come out of my K5d.

High ISO straight JPG out of the camera. The only editing done was a bit of cropping and a tiny bit of levels adjustment on a few pics.

Shot in TAv mode with a DA55-300

A step in the right direction
(ISO 3200, f5.8, 1/250, 300mm)

You light up my life...
(ISO 1100, f5.8, 1/250, 300mm)

Ready to go...
(ISO 3200, f4.5, 1/250, 97mm)

Hose A and Hose B
(ISO 6400, f4.5, 1/250, 135mm)

Over the last few years of watching my son play, I have learnt that one of the great constants in the world is that volleyball is only played in dimly lit and poorly ventilated spaces. The K5 has just been wonderful in this space.

Sigma 28-70 DF EX; 1/320th, f6.3, ISO 3200 (TAv mode)

Yep, it's killer in those venues!

I have to admit that the K5d has really taken TAv mode to a whole new level! I used it occasionally on my K20d, but now almost any time my flash isn't on it's TAv!

We missed you [and AdrianM] in my thread... https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-k-5-forum/124074-k-5-has-renewed-m...-mode-you.html
TAv was a large factor in me buying the K10D too. We became close friends.

Agree with this, its changed me... I had always been an AV shooter only.

I used TAv a lot (for birds and sports) but decent photos were rare. No longer.

Here are some shots from my short lived time (4 days) with the K-5 before it was sent back to Amazon because of the sensor spots. Admittedly, I couldn't see any unless i did the tests, but I'm a stickler for having my gear be without any defects...

Gotta love shake reduction. This view of the Melbourne sky line was taken hand-held at 1/10th, f5, ISO 500 with a Sigma 28-70 EX DF f2.8.
