Barnacle Goose.
K-5 + Bigma @ 500 mm handheld
I was delighted to discover the visible hole going straight through its beak.

Heres a couple of macro shots with my k-5 and sigma 105mm macro lens. I need ring flash to help reduce motion blur lol. I could use a tripod but i find its inconvenient for macro shots because your subjects never want to stand still, which of course adds the challenge and the excitement of the hunt. If any one has any experience with the Metz Mecablitz 15 MS-1 could you please let me know what you think or recommend any other good ring flashes for pentax.

The warblers are starting to show up now, here's the most common one. It's tough, they never quite stop moving. On images where the focus was perfect, the bird was in half-shade... Obviously this is cropped down.

Although its pricey, the Pentax AF160FC ring flash has given me excellent consistent results. Using it on my K-5, and paired with the DFA 100mm macro WR, everything just seems to work, with minimum fuss and setup.

Ok so I love to do HDR. 5 shot bracketed with my Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8.
@ Rupert. You always have some fantastic squirrel pics! I just got a 100mm WR Macro. So macro is next on my agenda.
