I like that the K-5 shows the subtle color of the veins in this bee's wings. You can almost tell there is bee blood circulating there. And all this detail at ISO 6400 too! I just cannot get over how powerfully the K-5 pulls quality images out of impossible exposure situations.

This shot: Pentax K-5, Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 LD Di macro, Tokina 2X Teleconvertor, in macro mode 2X300mm=600mm, approx F/11, 1/1600s, 6400 ISO, one of a high speed burst, manual focus, TAv-AE, bright sunlight, hand held.

One of the shots was taken in daylight and when I walked past the same place at night I liked it even better and took it again.

A really good friend I made in the Marines moved back to MD after we got out and I've been bitter about the place ever since.

You do have Charm City Cakes and a great doom metal scene though, so not all bad...
