A few pictures from the Rose March in Oslo, in remembrance of those killed in last week's terror attacks. About 200,000 people were there.

Flowers, flowers everywhere...

Love your shots Carrie ! Awesome stuff.

I have a golf course on the other side of my street. I wandered around tonight and took some shots. 5 exp HDR.

cheers

Phil
I really like that one...very nicely done...and not overdone.
I have a Squirrel Sanctuary in my back yard...very peaceful, except when Otis has his Army Squirrels on maneuvers...then there is a lot of yelling, screaming, gunfire and cussing. They usually knock it off when I yell "Cold Beer!" The entire Squirrel Army goes AWOL.......

Best Regards...great shot!

The Oslo shots are moving....and heartbreaking. My sympathy to all the victims families and friends...it was a horrific act.

I had already titled this in another thread, so do not think there is any relationship to this post or that I am careless in my wording......

Future Heartbreaker........of the better kind.
[IMG] [/IMG]

That was ISO 3200...this one at ISO 800 is hardly any better?
[IMG] [/IMG]

And..she has a sister! Lovely here at ISO 1250.
[IMG] [/IMG]

Best Regards! The K5 makes snapping fun!

Phil, they say blonds have more fun........but I think I do with the K5!

Shot this one today too of my Financial Adviser... dumb blonds.......you know what they say! Let me just say, they aren't always right about "what they say"!

The Tamron 18-250 does pretty decent on the K5, and is sure handy for its range ability.
Regards!

Phil, if you are looking for a zoom, the Tamron and Pentax 18-250 are the same lens. (Made by Tamron) Another not to be discounted is the Pentax DA 55-300; good range, IQ is good for this type of lens (you will see plenty of quality pictures on this forum) and it has quick shift focus. You'll find one a lot cheaper than the 18-250. The 55-300 is not much good if you are looking at the wider end of course!
Don't confuse it with the DA L 55-300. The L model comes as part of a kit, has no quick shift and no lens hood.

Thanks Rod, I appreciate the suggestions. I will look through some more photos on the forum. Always lots to think about.

I don't have the DA55-300, but have used one once and I fully agree with your opinion here. It is a great lens for the money, a jewel! Of course, the 18-250 is better at the wide end...since it has one, but otherwise, my money would go to the 55-300.

At 57.5 mm, the 55-300 would have caught this one...

Some Initial shots have not changed a thing yet shooting Raw+ these are jpg's right out the camera - combiantion of M and Av modes ....DA* 16-50 - I also noticed first image was marked IMGP0001 first camera I have owned (that I noticed anyway) that starts at 1

Not the most interesting shots of my backyard but you know new toys and all - hopefully tonight I can get out and do some more 'testing'

Great shots Dave!......Otis is an honest Squirrel, isn't he! Sure, he twists the truth or plays a little trickery sometimes...but never with the K5.....Well, that once he said the K5 could turn weeds into peanuts....but that was just a metaphor......I think?

Those are really good shots Dave....and I love your deck! I have a great deck....but it is so damn hot here we never use it....maybe a few days in the Fall or Spring.
You shoot until your finger cramps today! Can't wait to see more!

Best Regards!
