Woke up last night because all the squirrels where howling at the moon outside my bedroom. This is my first shot of the moon with my new Sigma. Freehand @500mm f7.1 and 1000/1 and iso 160 so quite under exposed and fixed in Photoshop. Still a lot of details in the moon. I love the Sigma 50-500 HSM!

Nice shot Henke - I've been thinking about that lens - will be interested to keep an eye on your photos to see how it performs

I'm not much of a lunar shot fan, but I do admit, that is a very nice one! My Bigma 50-500 is my most cherished lens, just a great lens to own, so versatile, such great IQ at any range and even wide open!

A little advice....I am often awakened by howling Squirrels too during a full moon. If you will wheel out a wheelbarrow full of roasted peanuts, they will quieten down pretty fast!
Regards!

Hello guys and gals,

I make my entrance with a shot with the FA31, and K-5 at ISO 1250.
TAV, didn't care much for the ISO has chosen. I was surprised...

Darn, this is sharp. Darn, this is high ISO.
Glad I'm on this side of the camera.

I like the first one a lot. Was this 'In-Camera' HDR?

Snydly,
No. This was 3 exposures merged with Photomatix Pro. I just recently purchased Photomatix Pro and am way more impressed with it over the results from the in-camera HDR, At least the version in the k7. I'm not sure I've used in-camera HDR with the k5 yet. I've only had limited success with the k7 In-Camera HDR mode.
