Absolutely love this shot. You can "feel" the texture of the dry petals, and great color treatment. Well done!

Wow I can't believe all the awesome photos. I wish I could get my photos to look like some of these on here. I just got my k-5 yesterday and so far the only thing I've tried was the moon which I just did a few minutes ago. This is just a single image and no layering.

I'm not really a fan of watermarks either. Nice photo though. FS nice work as well.

Here are two. The first one shows, once again, the impressive DR of the K-5. It very light outside and comparatively dark inside, but only some basic PP (mainly lifting the shadows somewhat) turned out to be necessary.

I showed this to my wife: Look, Mark can even make a stunning image out of a dying rose! She said: I want him to do my portrait!

lol - thanks for all the comments on this one. I'd bought the roses for my wife as they were absolutely beautiful and I had the ulterior motive of having a play with my new flash, but I never really got round to it until it was too late. I'd buy her some more but she'd start to think I had a guilty secret.

awsome pix:! have a question though:
What settings does one typically use around sunset , to capture the bright hues/colors of the sun while still focussing on a nearby object like kid playing...

I'm using K5 with 28-105 Old Pentax AF lens.

The mail arrived this afternoon and the Tamron 90 macro I bought on the marketplace arrived. I've been waiting to get a nice macro lens and think this one will may be worth the wait. More shots in the gallery when you click on an image.

My K5 is expected to arrive this week. I will soon honor your request without any problems.

On a serious not, I am quite worried. These pics have set my expectations so high that they may not be realistic. I may break down and cry after taking the first few pics.

Sorry about it, but those letters combined with the image remind me of some allergy drug ad... so much fresh air!!!
